Located in the heart of Lebanon’s wine country, Chouchene is a tranquil hideaway set in beautiful natural surroundings.
At our guest house you will find five acres of estate gardens and orchards, historic architecture and a 17th century watermill, nestled along the clear waters of the Chouchene river. A short hike will lead guests to an adjoining mountainside vineyard with spectacular views.
Our on-site restaurant offers a taste of the countryside with local specialties and traditional Lebanese dining – enjoyed al fresco by the river in the warmer months!
Catch up on some much needed rest and relaxation in one of our 12 thoughtfully appointed rooms. Certain rooms are located in fully restored 19th-century Lebanese dwellings.
Our common area features a fireplace and comfortable furnishings which make the ideal environment to relax with a book, board game or enjoy a glass of wine.
Chouchene has many family-friendly activities to offer including: hiking trails, rock-climbing, vineyard walks, a children’s playground, flora identification hunts, camping, fruit-picking and foraging.
Our B&B is a great jumping-off point for many of the country’s best wineries as well as for the stunning landscapes and attractions of the historic Bekaa Valley. We are also a convenient base for cyclists touring the valley.
Our guest house allows you to get away from it all! (Or stay connected with our free WI-FI).
All rooms include private ensuite baths and traditional lodging amenities including hairdryers and locally-produced toiletries. Some units include private kitchenettes which are perfect for accommodating longer stays.
Enjoy our complimentary traditional Lebanese breakfast including fresh saj, delicious local products, juices, coffee and tea.
Pets are welcome for a small fee, a portion of which goes to animal charity BETA.
We are dedicated to protecting our natural environment and to celebrating and conserving our heritage and culture.
Our continuing projects include the restoration of on-site buildings which are over 150 years old.
We also harvest honey from our resident bees and carry locally-made small batch products - all of which can be found in our boutique!
